Caged Steel Gym - Jeet Kune Do – Advanced Martial Concepts

Jeet Kune Do is the martial art formulated by the late Bruce Lee, which include his philosophy and approach to ‘intercepting the fist’.

By being formless and not restricted to one art, Lee taught that a person can use the most effective techniques to overcome an assailant and defend yourself.

Adaptive Martial Concepts is not a style, system or organisation. It is a core of training material, methods and concepts that form a consistent approach to how we, the AMC instructors, communicate the arts. It is this approach that we refer to as Adaptive Martial Concepts.
Students are taught to own the physical elements of the arts they train in and over a period of time develop superior attributes and fighting skills through this type of training.

Areas of training:

  • Jun Fan Kickboxing
  • Jun Fan Trapping
  • Groundwork
  • RAT system
  • Self Protection
  • Filipino Martial Arts
  • Muay Thai

Our focus is on hard training, quality teaching, but also enjoying the martial arts and infusing everything we do with a sense of humour.

Essentially there are three guiding principles in Adaptive Martial Concepts:

  • No egos, no belts, no grades, no attitudes. Everyone is a peer, everyone is a friend.
  • Value over Volume. Keep it simple, own it, make it work.
  • Have fun, it’s just martial arts.

In our arena we are proud to be affiliated with the very best in the world:

The Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts
The Minnesota Kali Group
Integrated Arts
and the foundation for all of our teaching is Sifu Paul Vunak’s Progressive Fighting Systems.
